CUIE Philosophy
CUIE is a unique programme, placed at the intersection of surgical and restorative clinical dentistry, bringing up the synergies of multidisciplinary comprehensive care with dental implants and focus in Esthetic Restorative Dentistry.
CUIE goals:
The CUIE graduate will be highly competent and reflective clinician, with deep understanding of basic, biological, clinical and behavioural sciences for the benefit of the patient.
CUIE Method
1. Closely supervised clinical practice
CUIE residents get in the clinic from day 1, as we strongly believe professional growth happens at the side of the patient. To achieve fast, safe and efficient clinical growth, our residents are closely supervised only by certified specialists, often on 1-on-1 basis e.g. in surgical procedures. clinical practice and clinically relevant teaching by highly skilled specialists. Approximately 60% of the taught time is allocated to clinical practice.
2. Strong Foundation in Science and Research
CUIE residents build a solid foundation in basic, biological and clinical sciences, not only critically assessing the latest evidence, but also contributing to science with their own innovative research. Evidence-based practice is a life-long learning skill which will ensure CUIE residents maintain currency of care, long after graduation.
3. Reflective learning and Personal Growth
CUIE residents grow to the targeted clinical competences through a carefully engineered pathway, combines series of learning activities and events. From seminars, assignments, active learning engagements, practical sessions in the simulation labs and closely supervised clinical practice, students master not only dentistry, but also professionalism, life-long learning and the ability to set and achieve their own personal growth goals, whether in private practice, academia or international leadership positions.
4. International Exposure and standards
CUIE residents will be prepared to thrive in an international environment not only through the education they receive, but also actively engaging with international events and universities. CUIE offers

– Two major elective attachments in world class universities in Asia, Europe and USA.
5. Implementing cutting-edge technology
CUIE residents will be trained in the latest digital workflows. From diagnostics to treatment plan, surgery and restorative procedures, CUIE residents will master software and hardware that will shape clinical practice in the years to come.
